Artificial trees can be categorized into various types based on their materials, structure, and application. Common types include artificial trees, artificial shrubs, artificial potted plants, artificial hedges, and artificial vines. Artificial trees typically have tall trunks and large canopies, with a relatively complete overall shape. They are often used to decorate shopping mall atriums, hotel lobbies, office building lobbies, and large public spaces, enriching spatial layers and improving visual appeal. Artificial shrubs are relatively short with dense foliage, suitable for placement in corners, corridors, shop windows, and landscaped areas, and can also be used in combination with other plants. Artificial potted plants emphasize miniaturization and decorative appeal, generally combining plants with flowerpots. Common varieties include artificial money trees, pothos, monstera, and fiddle-leaf figs, suitable for relatively limited spaces such as homes, offices, and hotel rooms. In addition, artificial hedges are mainly used for space division and landscaping, maintaining a neat appearance without frequent pruning and watering. Artificial vines have strong extension capabilities and can be hung or twined on walls, railings, porches, etc., often used to create a natural and relaxed atmosphere.

Artificial trees can also be categorized based on their materials and level of realism. Traditional artificial trees are mostly made of materials such as plastic, silk fabric, and foam, which have relatively low production costs and are easier to control in terms of color and shape. With continuous improvements in production processes, artificial plants made of PE, PU, PVC, and mixed materials are now available on the market. These products are closer to real plants in terms of leaf texture, branch shape, and color transitions. Some high-end products are even artificially shaped according to the growth characteristics of natural trees, giving the crown, branches, and leaves a more natural sense of layering. Based on the level of realism, they can be divided into ordinary decorative types and high-simulation types. Ordinary products mainly meet basic decorative needs, while high-simulation products pay more attention to detail, such as leaf size variations, leaf vein texture, branch color, and overall proportions. Different types of artificial trees have different characteristics in practical use. Therefore, when choosing one, factors such as space size, decorative style, placement location, and budget should be considered to ensure that the artificial tree meets decorative needs while maintaining harmony with the surrounding environment.
